If they’re going to offer tax credits, that’s not offering money to the American people but just a tax discount/coupon so that shouldn’t be included in the stimulus. That’s like receiving a gift card after paying for stuff at a store. And for people who lost their job, who cares about getting a tax credit because they don’t have any taxable income. And, honestly, both Republicans and Democrats are corrupt. I’m not supporting one in favor of another.peytonbabout 2 months@redxiii1313 Not relevant to orig post but felt need to respond.. 1. I personally think the stimulus package is too high. 2. Of the 1.9 trillion, 440 billion would be in the direct $1400 checks. Another 160 billion in child tax credits (which are direct refunds). This totals to 600 billion going directly back to citizens pockets, which is 32% of the total package, not 10%. 3. The Republican proposed package is a total of 618 billion. They propose cutting the direct checks to 220 billion, which is 36% of their total package. So yes, Republicans want to give 4% more of the entire package direct to people. Which is less than half the amount of money to the people than democrats.redxiii1313about 2 monthsMany politicians come into Washington with little and finish their careers as multimillionaires. It’s not just Pelosi’s husband who’s wealthy but her as well as she has had money laundered to her through special interests over the years to make her extremely wealthy. Just look at the 1.9 trillion dollar stimulus. 10% of the money is going to the people while the 90% is going to special interests. The 90% end up going to paying people and states off for the pandemic rather than helping those that need it.peytonbabout 2 monthsTo be clear, you are referring to net worth not her salary. Her husband is very wealthy. And they have stocks in Apple, Comcast, Disney, etc. Not too mysterious. 36 of the top 50 wealthiest members of Congress are Republican. And there are 5 Republicans and 2 democrats wealthier than her. Maybe read up on them and how they have all accumulated their wealth.Amandaabout 2 monthsYes it absolutely does!!
