I can tell you why social media is very dangerous for a Christian who doubts their salvation or who are struggling with it. If you post a comment that you don't have a full knowledge of and you are proven wrong you can potentially suffer with paranoia. Some Christians think that if they have the Holy spirit they can't be wrong. Another is that if you live by the praises of people when you then get criticised you can get discouraged. You do NEED the armour of God before you go to the world and even in Christian circles. The bible says our ministers are elected so that we will not be toss to and fro by every wind of doctrine. The church isn't perfect and you do need to work on your salvation personally as well.

✨🔥💕in the process of ‘working out our own salvation with fear and trembling’ God’s Grace is enormous.. Philippians 2:13 KJV
[13] For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. ... Think about it! 💕😃

@Matt Whiteway exactly. It's all about confirmation bias sometimes. Nobody can stand for the gospel if they aren't strong against this.

Yea I agree, Christian or non Christian social media, if you are looking to find your identity in these areas then you are setting yourself for discouragement. You need to have firm roots in your identity in Christ and not draw identity from what other people may think about you or say about you. Social media is great, just don’t use it as an emotional crutch to go to when things are going wrong. Because people will only tell you what you want to hear then you find 2 or 3 people on social media to agree with you and justify your pity party then satan has you where he wants you, mind focused on self rather than focused on Jesus
